Team members from Palmetto Health and Save-a-lot adopt senior CHA residents

Palmetto Health team members give back every day by working to improve the health of their community, but they wanted to do more this holiday season. They decided to go outside the walls of the hospital system to adopt the 380 residents of the senior high-rises of Columbia Housing Authority and provide them with the fixings of a hot meal for Christmas.

The team members needed a little help to accomplish their goal so they teamed up with Save-a-lot. The owners of the store went into action. Not only did they offer to assist but they went over and beyond. They helped coordinate which items to put in each basket based on the residents’ past purchases, provided some of the items at cost and allowed the team from Palmetto Health the space to put them together.

Join the team tonight as they assemble their baskets for delivery.
