It’s a parade! First responders from Sumter County wanted to do something special for the Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital team members to celebrate their hard work and dedication. The group decided that a parade would be a great way to show their appreciation for those who go beyond the call of duty every day and in this COVID-19 pandemic.
A variety of first responders from the Sumter Fire Department, the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office and the Sumter County EMS team will join in to show their appreciation. They will make a couple of stops along the route to cheer the team members on.
Team members will join in by smiling and waving from their windows and along the route.
WHEN: Monday, May 11, 2-2:15 p.m.
WHERE: Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, 129 N. Washington Street, Sumter
Parade begins at 2 p.m. at the main driveway into Tuomey Hospital. It will proceed halfway around the front entrance circle, exit onto Washington Street to pass the Cancer Treatment Center, turn right onto Calhoun Street to pass the Day Surgery entrance and drive-thru teams and then turn right onto Main Street to pass the Emergency Room.
