The Wound Healing Center at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital in Sumter, South Carolina, features hospital-based outpatient wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT).

In addition to tissue oxygenation, we also employ vascular studies, nutritional assessments, tissue culturing and pathology, revascularization, skin grafting, and clinical or surgical debridement.

We treat patients with acute, chronic and/or complex wounds after performing a thorough exam including photographs to track healing.

Evidenced-based and best practice-driven treatments are utilized to promote healing. We work to become a partner with our patients and their doctors, regularly providing reports on treatments.

Conditions treated with HBOT include:

Healogics has earned the Joint Commission’s Disease-Specific Care Certification for wound care. Our physicians, nurse practitioners and nurses are trained in the latest therapeutic methods in wound management as well as updated with breaking information about the industry, policies and procedures.

Patients are seen by appointment only and do not need to have a referral from a physician, although we encourage all patients to have a primary care provider. Patients can self-refer. We accept all payor sources including self-pay.
