A great primer for soon-to-be parents. Learn all the basics of caring for your newborn before you deliver. Bathing, feeding and nurturing techniques are just some of the topics to be covered.
In addition to technique instruction, learn about the advantages of breastfeeding, prevention and treatment of possible problems, a father's role and tips for breast milk expression/storage while working. All breastfeeding mothers and their babies are welcome, as are still-expectant mothers.
This class provides information for parents on proper installation of car seats in their vehicles. Discounted car seats are available after completion of the class.

Be prepared to save a young life. American Heart Association’s Friends & Family course for expectant parents. This class does not offer CPR certification. Free to the community.
This class provides information on what to expect during labor and delivery. Includes material on normal labor and delivery, common complications and interventions, medicines, breathing/relaxation exercises, initial newborn care and infant feeding.
Joint Camp is designed for patients who are scheduled to undergo knee or hip replacement surgery. The camp educates patients on their surgery and expectations after surgery. The camp is run by our Care Management, Rehabilitation and Respiratory Therapy departments.
This free class is offered to mothers returning to work and planning to continue breastfeeding. You will learn about the different kinds of pumps and how and when to pump, as well as storage guidelines. You also will learn how to teach your caregivers to gently bottle-feed your baby while you are away. It is best to wait until your baby is 4 weeks old to come to this class.
