Admitting services

Care Guides are available for patient admission at the Guide Portal from 5 a.m.–9 p.m. Monday–Friday and 7:00 am–7:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. The Portal is on the first floor at the main entrance and can be reached at 803-907-3700. Patients arriving after 9 p.m. should register in the Emergency Room.

Automated teller machines

Automated teller machines are located in the Living Room near the Arbor Dining Room and Refresh Café.


The Arbor Dining Room and Refresh Café are located on the first-floor of the hospital. The Arbor Dining Room offers hot entrees, grilled items, soups and a variety of grab and go items. The Refresh Café offers grab and go muffins, salads, sandwiches, fruit, healthy snacks and beverages.

  • The Arbor Dining Room is open Monday-Sunday from 6:30 a.m.-7 p.m.
  • The Refresh Café is open Monday-Sunday from 6:30 a.m.-12:30 a.m.

Financial counselors

Gift shop

The Auxiliary of Volunteers owns and operates the Surcees Gift Shop. It is located on the first floor in the Living Room and can be reached at 803-907-1050. Surcees is open from 9 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday and noon-5 p.m. Sunday.

Mail and deliveries

The hospital’s Auxiliary of Volunteers delivers flowers and gifts sent to patients Monday-Friday in the afternoon. Flowers for patients in Intensive Care are returned to the florist for redelivery when the patient is assigned a regular room. 

Mail is delivered to patients each morning. Special delivery mail is delivered upon receipt. Any mail received after discharge will be returned to the sender. Stamps may be purchased in the Gift Shop located on the first floor at the Taylor Street entrance.

Parking is free for patients and visitors in the parking lots adjacent to the hospital. The hospital offers security escorts to cars in the Prisma Health Baptist Parkridge Hospital parking lots 24 hours a day for patients, visitors and team members. Officers also can help with minor emergencies like dead car batteries. For assistance, call Security at 907-8000.

Safety and security

The Safety and Security Services department offers 24-hour coverage and patrols the medical center facilities, grounds and parking areas. The department may be reached by calling 803-907-8000.

Smoking policy

Prisma Health is an entirely smoke-free campus. Though our buildings have been smoke-free for years, we've expanded our commitment to good health by including the areas surrounding those buildings. In the interest of promoting good health and healthy lifestyles, Prisma Health joins numerous other smoke-free hospitals around the country in modeling healthy behaviors for our community.

Prisma Health Baptist Parkridge Hospital cannot accept responsibility for misplaced personal items such as glasses and hearing aids or valuables such as jewelry or cameras. We encourage patients to leave valuables at home for safe keeping. However, a safe is available.

Vending machines

Vending machines are located in the Emergency Department Family Room and on the second floor near the restrooms.

Visiting hours

Palmetto Health welcomes visitors and realizes the essential role they play in a patient’s recovery. We want your family members and visitors to visit at times convenient to their schedules. We have no “posted” visiting hours, but some general guidelines are in place.
