Lights for Hospice

Sponsorship Opportunities

Since 1985, Lights for Hospice has provided a way to for people to support Palmetto Health Hospice while honoring or remembering a friend or family member during the holiday season. This year, for a gift of $35 or more, a donor will receive a glass keepsake luminary that will be lit during a lighting celebration or a symbolic light that will be displayed on the crosswalk of your choice at one of the hospital campuses. A gift of $75 or more will recognize someone with a luminary at the lighting celebration and a symbolic light. A gift of $140 or more includes all of the above as well as a keepsake holiday ornament.

This year, proceeds from Lights for Hospice will be used to renovate the family waiting area on 8th Averyt at Palmetto Health Baptist. This is a special place for families, patients and their caregivers to rest or discuss healthcare issues.

The Lights for Hospice campaign will begin prior to Thanksgiving and will run through the end of December.

Symbolic lights will be displayed in the following locations:

Crosswalks at Palmetto Health Baptist, Columbia
Crosswalk at Palmetto Health Richland, Columbia
Palmetto Health Hospice, Newberry

The Lights for Hospice luminary lighting celebration offers an opportunity for families and friends to be honored or remembered. The public is welcome to attend the event on Sunday, November 7 at 5 p.m. on the north grounds of the South Carolina State House in Columbia.

Proceeds from the Lights for Hospice campaign will directly benefit Palmetto Health Hospice patients and their families. The campaign will begin in early November and will continue through the end of the year.
