2010 at a glance...
More than 250 golfers took to the greens at Fort Jackson Golf Club on Friday, April 30, for the 20th annual McDaniels Golf Classic. The tournament raised more than $214,000 for cancer research, programs and services at Palmetto Health Cancer Centers, making it a hole-in-one by all accounts.

"Many businesses and individuals stepped up again this year and helped us achieve these results. Their support, despite the slow economy, was paramount, because cancer doesn't slow down and it doesn't discriminate," said Bill McDaniels, owner of McDaniels Automotive Group, the tournament's signature sponsor. 

Golfers attended a VIP reception and auction at Palmetto Health Heart Hospital atrium on the eve of the tournament. In its 20 year history, the McDaniels Golf Classic has raised more than $2.6 million for Palmetto Health Cancer Centers.
