The 2010 USC Dance Marathon, held February 19-20, was a record-breaking year. More than 1,100 students joined together to raise $140,000 for Palmetto Health Children's Hospital.

The University of South Carolina Dance Marathon is a year-long fundraising event that raises emotional and financial support for Palmetto Health Children's Hospital in Columbia, SC.

Dance Marathon, endorsed by Children's Miracle Network, is the largest student-run philanthropy in the nation. Every February students celebrate the culmination of their fundraising efforts with a 24-hour event, where students are challenged to stay on their feet and awake by learning a line dance. This event exemplifies the students' empathy and support for the children, their families and Palmetto Health Children's Hospital.

This special event makes a difference in the lives of the more than 82,000 sick and injured children treated at Palmetto Health Children's Hospital every year.
