Hospice and Palliative Care

Hospice and Palliative Care

Since 1979, Palmetto Health Hospice has provided medical, emotional, social and spiritual support for Hospice patients and their families. From simple companionship to relief for exhausted family members, the mission of hospice remains the same - to help relieve pain, fear and loneliness and to support the family before and after the patient's death.

Thanks to your generosity, Palmetto Health Hospice also purchases medications and provides emergency rent or utility assistance when necessary. Hospice has financially assisted more than 500 Hospice patients and their families and funded programs like Brett's Rainbow, an annual bereavement camp for children of ages 6 to 16 and their caregivers who have experienced the loss of a loved one.
